Born in Berlin, baritone Tobias Berndt has won numerous awards, especially as a Lied interpreter. He has established himself internationally as a concert singer and has worked with conductors such as Philippe Herreweghe, Hans Christoph Rademann, Andrea Marcon, Helmuth Rilling and Michael Sanderling. Under the baton of Teodor Currentzis, he has performed as a guest Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell in Paris, Lisbon, Berlin and Athens. He has performed in prestigious halls such as the Philharmonie in Cologne, the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig and the Herkulessaal in Munich.
