Born in Moscow in 1983, she studied with Prof. Lidija Grigorieva at the Gnessin Academy of Music and then was accepted as a student in the class of Prof. Mikhail Voskresensky at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. From 2011 to 2013 she continued her studies with Prof. Evgeni Koroliov at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre.
At an early age Varvara won numerous prizes and scholarship. In 2012 she won the first Prize at the Concours Géza Anda in Zurich. The jury also awarded her the Mozart-Prize and she received the Audience Prize.
She already has been performing with various symphony orchestras and countless concert engagements have taken her to Europe, Japan, South America and Russia.
Recently the ORF has launched her first CD with the live recording by works of Beethoven and Schumann.
